About Me

I have spent the last 30 years creating art. My latest medium is my camera. I still love painting and drawing. For those viewing my photos, I hope to inspire the same creative passions that led me to capture each of these moments in time.

TATA Salad and meal!

Simple and healthy meal!

I used a wonderful fresh salad mix which I picked up at our fantastic Food Co-op. I washed and cleaned my mix. I cut up beautiful bell peppers with great colors. I added half inch pieces of green onions to the salad. I then added a lite olive oil with a pinch of salt and an orange zest for flavor.
I marinated a turkey patty about 30 minutes in a Masala mixture and then cooked in olive oil. The aroma was mouth watering. Just a reminder never over heat the olive oil. I added a lite chutney to top it off.
I added a half cup of Biryani made with Basmati rice. The Biryani was made the night before. As a substitution you could use a simple pilaf.
Well, I hope you all enjoy and try this recipe.

We are all trying to eat healthy. Many are on a tight budget. But healthy eating needs to be first. Healthy eating prevents many ailments. If you live in the Northern part of the country, you know that we are lucky to find the sun. We tend to go for the comfort foods. Such as fried chicken, home made mac-n-cheese, and mashed potatoes. I love those great foods. My mama can make the best home made Mac! Not that cheap box stuff. And my auntie in Illinois can fry up the meanest fried chicken!

So, do your body good and fill it with nutrient color rich foods and remember portion control.

Bon appetit!!
